A History of Accomplishments
Established in 2010, The Coalition of Hope Foundation, Inc. (COH) is a US-based 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable organization that provides global humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. In the past decade, COH has supported a broad range of US (domestic) and International missions and has partnered with a variety of global charities, including; International Red Cross, the American Red Cross, Jewish Family Services, Islamic Relief USA, Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, Free the Children, Partners in Health, Project Medi-Share and many others. Recent examples of our broad-based initiatives include the following:
2023
Project Excelsior
Project Excelsior will transform ships of war, into ships of peace with it’s unprecedented ship-based platforms, dedicated to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the immediate aftermath of catastrophic occurrence.
2023
“Air Care”
COH Air Care will utilize sophisticated medical drones for patient evacuations from remote or high risk locations using “medical evacuation pods” (Med-Pods). These will be operated from our Project Excelsior logistical platforms. AIR CARE also includes a pioneering approach to the delivery of emergency medicine and supplies customized for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief environments. This allows for delivery of desperately needed “pre-packaged and need-specific” supplies via individual or massed formations of air-drones to specific geographic coordinates.
2021
CLEAN WATER IN CAMEROON
Providing Clean Water to 1 Million People in Rural Cameroon
The Coalition of Hope Foundation (COH), in conjunction with the project manager, Headway USA and the Government of Cameroon are finalizing the “National Clean Water Program”. This grand endeavor will provide a unified team of US and Cameroonian companies - specialized in water, engineering, geology, and power sources, to provide 160 municipalities, towns and villages with reliable, sustainable clean water systems. The impact of the project is broad-reaching:
Reduce loss of life from disease due to a lack of clean water
Bring clean drinking water for almost 1,000,000 people in rural areas
Combat desertification
Empower women and children
The rural water system will use advanced power generation technology, as all locations will be far from the national electrical grid. Therefore, each locality will have sustainable and renewable energy source(s), modern pumps, for both extraction as well as delivery, and the latest filtration technology. Designed to have an ease-of-operation and servicing for the rural locations, we will ensure the sustainability of the initiative. A consortium of US universities, in conjunction with Cameroonian universities, will design the training and reporting systems (including a management app) for its various levels.
2019
THAI ORPHANAGE CHRISTMAS PARTY
Holiday celebration in Thailand for underprivileged children
COH, in association with Knightsbridge Bloodstock provided a Winter Holiday celebration in Thailand for underprivileged children and their parents. In addition to the day-long festivities, COH and Knightsbridge provided a grand meal, numerous presents for the children and a financial contribution to build an expansive, modern playground and related facilities at the local Thai orphanage where the event was held. This was a meaningful event which perpetuates our continuing commitment to support the efforts of peace and assistance throughout the world.
2017
COH SUPPORTING AT-RISK WOMEN & CHILDREN
Emergency housing and support for victims of abuse
COH organized the donation of mobile homes to the Green Oak Ministries in Vista, California to be used as emergency shelter facilities for women and children at risk. According to COH Founder & CEO, Tim Keegan, “The Coalition of Hope is dedicated to supporting at-risk women and children on a global basis. Although we strive to eliminate the need for such protections, when necessary, it is particularly satisfying to support those who deserve an opportunity to raise their children in a peaceful and secure environment.” The new mobile homes are providing temporary housing for victims of domestic violence, homeless families, and adults recovering from substance abuse. Currently, a mother and her two small children, victims of domestic violence are residing in one of the units. Safe housing is the first step to rebuilding lives and most of the benefactors are women and children.
2017
Hurricane Maria
Puerto Rico - Post-Disaster Relief Operations
COH provided humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and healthcare services while aiding Puerto Rican citizens in re-establishing their economy in the wake of Hurricane Maria. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Maria, COH focused resources on providing for the urgent needs of the most vulnerable; children, the disabled, and the elderly. Our efforts included providing reliable power sources to restore lighting, cooking, electronic device recharging, communications, refrigeration of fresh foods, infant milk and medications (insulin, antibiotics, immunizations, etc.), and keep essential medical devices operating (e.g. CPAP, Oxygen Concentrators, Drip IV's, etc.). Our organization also distributed thousands of meals via our mobile mass feeding stations to many of the poorest victims of Hurricane Maria throughout the mountainous areas of Puerto Rico, where little to no help had existed.
2017
Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Harvey Post-Disaster Relief Operations
Hurricane Harvey was the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year period with no major hurricanes making landfall in the United States.
In a four- day period, many areas received more than 40 inches (1,000 mm) of rain as the system meandered over eastern Texas and adjacent waters, causing catastrophic flooding. The resulting floods inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, displaced more than 30,000 people, and prompted more than 17,000 rescues.
COH, in conjunction with Pathfinders Task Force (PTF) and The Eagles Wings Foundation (EWF) Implemented a system to identify, account for and provide officials with a listing of homebound and displaced citizens that had been affected by Harvey in the downtown Houston area.
We established a base of operations that provided mass feeding, temporary shelter, security, and basic medical first aid until homebound and displaced citizens could either be transported to a more permanent location or provided with life-sustaining support locally. COH also helped to establish a responder communications network in order to conduct door to door surveys for homebound and displaced citizens to assist the National Guard and other first responders in conducting response and relief operations.
2016
Ecuadorian Earthquake
COH Response, Reconstruction & Recovery
On April 16th, 2016, the Ecuadorian City of Pedernalas was destroyed by a massive earthquake. In response, COH secured emergency aid, shipping containers, and cargo space in order to deliver much-needed supplies from the USA to Ecuador. Subsequently, COH, in cooperation with the Government of Ecuador worked to further the reconstruction of this important coastal town in order to build economic foundations and improved quality of life. In 2017, COH senior leadership worked with the Ecuadorian Government to secure $150M in funding in support of these efforts.
